No is such a powerful word, but can no really hurt you? No! Statistically after so many no’s a yes is just around the corner, you just have to wait for it and be ready when it comes.

Today I was talking with a friend and he made a comment that struck me. I don’t know what it was, I just felt some type of way about it. According to Him, dark skinned, black women make “horrible women”. Wow, right?!? That’s what I said too. So I asked him why he thought that and he proceeded to tell me that because they would have dark skinned babies and that’s ugly! Jesus take the wheel, not only was the comment ignorant but he sounded so stupid especially since he was dark skinned. Wow right?!? That’s what I said!

First impressions go a long way. Think back to the first time you met somebody that you admire, that person must have made a good impression on you right? Ok. So, what impression do people get from you when first introduced? Have you ever really thought about it? Oddly enough many times the image we have built in our heads isn’t the one that others see, it’s like hearing a play back of your voice recorded, you can’t believe it’s you! What’s your first impression?
